I got home from New York City late Sunday evening (our plane was delayed) and am still processing the wonderful time that I had at my first BlogHer annual conference.
I do intend to share one or more posts about my experience in the days to come. However, in the meantime, here are links to some awesome reflections on BlogHer`12 by my dear friends who I got to spend time with there:

You can also check out the tweeting that I did while at BlogHer`12 to get an idea of what inspired and moved me throughout the weekend.
Until I am able to put into words what BlogHer`12 meant to me, I decided to make a photo montage with highlights of my conference experience.
BlogHer Co-Founder and one my old friends from high school Jory Des Jardins (who wasn’t able to be at BlogHer`12 because she is due to have her second child any day now) told me before I left for NYC that I would have the time of my life and she was right! That is one of the reasons I chose the song that I did for this video.

I never watch videos because they take way too long to download with my slow internet connection but I’m so glad I waited to watch this one. Was lovely to put some faces with names and to see the images of NYC. I’m so nostalgic for my old home reading all these post BlogHer posts. I’m so glad you had a wonderful time.

Oh I’m sitting here at work, SOBBING!! This is so beautiful, every picture is MY FAVORITE…I swear.
Kathy, meeting you, hearing you speak and laugh and giggle, were such highlights of my weekend. Every time you sat down I couldn’t wait to hear what you’d say or see you smile. It was amazing…the whole weekend, in large part BECAUSE of you and your beautiful self.
thank you for letting me be a part of your life, I feel so HONORED to call you my FRIEND.
Yep, still weepy. xoxoxo

So that just made my throat close up. It made me really miss you. I love that you put this together (and used a Green Day song!).
Kathy, I have no words for this … none that are adequate, anyway. Your presence, both in the blogosphere and IRL, is a gift … and being with you made BlogHer the amazing experience that it was for me. I feel blessed to know you. Thank you … for you.
Crying all over again.

I just showed your video to the twins. They loved it (especially the Central Park and Plaza photos; my daughter is an Eloise fan) and my son asked:
“Mommy, are those your friends?”
“Yes,” I answered proudly. Thanks for putting that together. Wonderful stuff.

Kathy, you know I wish I could have been there for your first BlogHer! But hey, we’re in your backyard next year. I’ll bring the clan. I see you know the Stirrup Queen. Clearly you were in good hands!
Oh Kathy, I had so much fun meeting you — you couldn’t have a better song choice, and I’m so glad to see your snap of @KatieCouric’s guns from her keynote! I was on the other side and didn’t get the full picture. What a great moment.
Thanks again for saying hi, for speaking on this important panel, and I hope to see you at #blogher13.

This is so fun and beautifully done, Kath. It really captures the weekend.
I enjoyed joining you and rooting on my little sister at her first (I’m sure of many) BlogHer panel appearances. It was fun sharing a room together, too. We should take a sisters-only vacation again!
It’s obvious from the comments here and all of your friends I met that the online community knows what your offline community/family already does: how truly wonderful you are!
Love,
Meg
Hi Kathy!
What a lovely video. I had such a wonderful time at BlogHer, and everyone I met contributed to this. I especially liked being able to connect with you about bereavement Though I also had a blast dancing with you and your friends at Sparklecorn!

It was so awesome to meet you! It was an awesome night with new friends! I know I was pretty quiet. Just being there with such wonderful women blew my mind. I was taking it all in and listening to all the stories.
Beautiful video and perfect song. Glad you had a great time there.

Like a few others, I was near tears when I watched this video. Such a special time we had! And you picked the perfect song. It will forever now remind me of that night in the lobby.
Thank you so much for making the panel happen. It led to so many fantastic and perfect moments.
